Guwahati: Justice may have been delayed but certainly not denied to late Dr Sarita Toshniwal who was murdered on May 9, 2014 by the ward boy of Assam Medical College & Hospital (AMCH) Dibrugarh—the district and sessions court on Thursday slapped the convict Kiro Mech with life sentence. 

The judgment was pronounced by Aparna Ajitsaria. Apart from Mech there was one more accused in the crime and that accused was Dr Deepamoni Saikia. However, the court aquitted Dr Saikia for want of evidence.
