UPSC offers ‘change of venue’ facility to candidates from Manipur

Imphal: Considering the tense atmosphere in Manipur following the ethnic clashes that has brought the state to a grinding halt Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has decided to shift the venue of preliminary (2023) examination for the candidates from Manipur to other places like, Aizawl, Kohima, Shillong, Dispur, Jorhat, Kolkata and Delhi.

Issuing a press release in this regard UPSC asserted that it has taken this decision after formally discussing this matter with the state administration.

The option to change the centre of examination can be done by the candidates of Imphal centre through ‘Interactive Voice Response System’ (IVRS). This option will be available from May 17 to May 19 till 5:00 pm. However, the candidates can also contact UPSC through the following contact numbers—23070641, 23384508 and 23387876 from May 17 to May 19 (5:00pm).

In fact those candidates who have already downloaded their e-Admit cards can also avail the option of changing their centre of examination. Fresh e-Admit cards will be issued by the commission and it can be downloaded from the UPSC’s website. Additionally the e-Admit cards will also be delivered to the residential address of the respective candidates.
