Unity in Bio-diversity

On this day we all celebrate,
The life all around us – big and small,
From the tiniest ant to the biggest whale,
All creatures matter to us, one and all…

For biodiversity is the main key,
To a world that’s full of life and glee,
A web of beauty, intricate and complex,
That we must protect and not neglect…

For when we lose a single species,
We lose a part of ourselves too,
A puzzle piece gone forever,
And what remains is but a few…

So let us all stand together,
To safeguard all that’s wild and free,
And on this International Day for Biological Diversity,
Let’s pledge to cherish our rich biodiversity…
