Agartala: Three children were drowned when they went to bathe in Khowai river and did not return home. The heart breaking incident took place around eleven o’clock on Sunday at Charganaki Godaraghat area of Paschim Ganaki Panchayat near Khowai town.

Incident took place when there was a social function on Saturday at the house of one Gopal Namdas of Charganaki Godaraghat area. Gopal Namah Das’s two daughters’ along with their children Saptadwip Nam (7) of Bishalgarh and Moutusi Das (12) came to visit them on Saturday.

This unexpected incident happened when three children including one local girl Babli Ray (9) went to bathe in Khowai river without informing anyone in the morning. Two children were visiting their maternal grandfathers house for the function.
