Agartala: The state government has decided to launch ‘Mission Life’ with all earnestness to create awareness among the people about the prevention of the bad effects of environmental changes.

A high-level meeting headed by Chief Secretary J K Sinha held in the secretariat has finalized a detailed program. K S Setty, Secretary to the Department of Science and Technology, and other officials also were present in the meeting.

The main aim of ‘Mission Life’ is to make the drive to prevent environmental degradation into a mass movement. It is believed that the bad effects of environmental degradation can be prevented mostly through behavioral changes.

Animesh Das, Director of Science, Technology, and Environment gave a PowerPoint presentation detailing the steps needed to prevent the bad effects of environmental degradation.
