Students earn laurels for Dima Hasao in this year’s HSLC

Haflong: Students from Dima Hasao have earned laurels by registering a spectacular performance in the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination—the results of which were declared on Monday. 

This year Dima Hasao bettered its previous record by registering a pass percentage of 88.12 per cent compared to last year’s 81.31 per cent.

Of the 3,216 candidates 1095 passed in first division 1,427 passed in second division and 312 passed in third divisions respectively. About 2,834 candidates passed the HSLC examination in 2023.

Haflong Boys HS School maintained its reputation and the principal congratulated both the students and his colleagues for this feat.

“Our students worked very hard and above all the teachers too played a very vital role,” said the principal of Haflong Boys HS School.

However, the CEM of NCHAC Debolal Gorlosa also congratulated the students on their grand success. “The students have made us proud again. I wish them all the luck for their future endeavours,” Gorlosa said. 

Meanwhile, Assam power minister Nandita Gorlosa also congratulated all the three top performing districts—Chirang, Sivasagar aand Dima Hasao for scripting a new success story in HSLC.

“This is just the beginning. You all will have to scale many more heights in your life. Those who have not been successful don’t lose heart. Just carry on. Success will surely be yours. Tomorrow will be your day,” Nandita said.
