Kohima: World Health Organisation (WHO) has warned of a new Chinese variant and asked the nations to be cautious—on Friday one more fresh case of Covid-19 was registered in Nagaland.

By talking to official sources it is learnt that this fresh case has now pushed the state tally to 36,025 in Nagaland. According to health department bulletin, the fresh case was reported from Dimapur.

With this, the state currently has six active cases. The death toll remained unchanged at 782 (including 5 non-Covid deaths but with positivity).

Meanwhile, India logged 490 new coronavirus infections, while the active cases have decreased to 5,707 from 6,168, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Friday.The death toll has increased to 5,31,856 with two deaths, the data updated at 8 am stated. The Covid case tally was recorded at 4.49 crore (4,49,88,916).
