Judicial Inquiry Committee visits relief camps in Imphal

It is appealed to the general public to cooperate with the committee and remain calm in order to help in restoring peace in the state

Imphal : Ajai Lamba former Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court the Chairman of the Judicial Inquiry Committee constituted to investigate the Manipur violence and Himanshu Shekhar Das, a member of the committee visited two relief camps today at 143 Bn. CRPF, Lamphel, and Residential School Lamboikhongnangkhong, Imphal West and interacted with the residents from both communities and gave a patient hearing about the hardship faced in the ethnic violence.

Members of the Inquiry Committee assured them all their grievances will be heard and all the concerned have been requested to submit written affidavits to the committee when called for. They assured that the Committee shall act as in a transparent and just manner.

It is appealed to the general public to cooperate with the committee and remain calm in order to help in restoring peace in the state.
