Debolal Gorlosa instructed to keep educational institutions particularly at Haflong, Harangajao, Mahur and other landslides prone areas closed for few days until further instruction
Haflong : To discuss about the steps that must be done in light of the high alert of the weather forecast, Chief Executive Member, Dima Hasao Autonomous Council and Co-Chairman of DDMA Dima Hasao Debolal Gorlosa convened an urgent meeting at the CEM Conference Hall Dima Hasao on Monday.
In the meeting CEM Gorlosa after listening from all the officials from line departments instructed to take adequate precautionary measures to tackle situations arising out of natural calamities in the event of heavy rain falls and floods etc.
Executive Members of DHAC Nipolal Hojai, Nojit Kemprai, Projith Hojai, Principal Secretaries and the representatives of all the line departments like PWD, PHE, food & civil supply, Irrigation etc. were present in this urgent meeting.
Meanwhile, in regards to the high alert of the weather forecast, Chief Executive Member, Dima Hasao Autonomous Council and Co-Chairman DDMA Debolal Gorlosa instructed to keep educational institutions particularly at Haflong, Harangajao, Mahur and other landslides prone areas closed for few days until further instruction.
He also instructed all the officials to remain at their respective places of duties and to help others during any needs. As it is known to all that during previous year Dima Hasao experienced huge loss of properties and life due to disaster and now, no one wants to experience such situation further. For this CEM Gorlosa advised all the people of Dima Hasao not to venture out during few days unnecessarily to avoid any odds.
Talking to this correspondent CEM & Co-Chairman of DDMA Gorlosa said he has already instructed all the line departments officials to remain vigilant during the high alert of the weather forecast and to remain prepared to tackle the any odd situation happened due to any natural calamity.
