Imphal : Chief Minister of Manipur, N. Biren Singh today visited a relief camp at Khuman Lampak in Imphal where pregnant women are being provided shelter. The relief camp is managed by Manipur Pradesh BJP since May 21st. Among the 52 women inmates, sixteen women gave birth to 7 girls and 9 boy babies. The ‘six-day’ traditional ceremony (Sasthi Puja) was organised at the relief camp for the newly born babies.
Speaking on the occasion the Chief Minister assured that all help by the state government will be provided to the people who got displaced. He also asked the young mother to take good care of the young babies as they are the future generations of the state.
Chief Minister N. Biren Singh explaining the situation of the state echoed that ‘those people who are playing the victim card and portraying me as the villain of the entire conflict when my government has not even granted what the Meiteis are demanding for. So there must be a hidden agenda. One needs to understand these facts. But let me assure you, I am not a person who will so easily let the interest of my state down and fall prey to their nefarious games.
Speaking to the KRC TIMES Chief Minister informed that within 45 days the state government is going to provide pre-fabricated 3000 houses that will have two bedrooms and a common kitchen and bathroom. He echoed that ‘our main concern is to rehabilitate the displaced persons. He further informed that the government is going to provide each displaced family member Rupees one thousand per month.
About the all-party meeting to be held today in Delhi, with the Union Home Minister in Manipur, N. Biren Singh said that the Central Government has all the insights into the situation and he strongly believes that the Central leadership including the National President of BJP J. P. Nadda, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be deliberating in a constructive manner with the political parties.
