Manipur CM returns from Delhi with the message of peace

Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh returned back from New Delhi late evening after meeting Union Home Minister  Amit Shah. He left for Delhi in the morning on a chartered flight along with the Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba and the Speaker of Manipur.

In a press meeting held at the Imphal International Airport, the Chief Minister informed that the Centre is concerned with the mob violence taking place and that peace should return to the state. He appealed to all not to take the law into their hand and give peace a chance.

On the question from KRC TIMES about what action will the state government will do to bring law and order under control in the valley as well as in the hills, the Chief Minister stated that now all stakeholders will be taken into confidence and talk to all to come to an understanding so that government can take its course of action. 

He also said that a meeting of unified command will be taken up by him tomorrow. He further appealed to all to cooperate with security forces and not obstruct their operations.
