James Khangenbam

A documentary film by James Khangenbam from Imphal tries to explain the recent Manipur conflict through the testimonies of villagers.

Tronglaobi is a village in the Bishnupur district of Manipur. In the adjoining area, a designated camp of Kuki Militants under Suspension of Operation with the Central Government keeps the villagers in suspense as violence broke out with certain aspirations from the ethnic Kuki community spearheaded by armed groups.

The video is a testimony of the villagers over the increasing number of illegal immigrants and illegal poppy cultivation.

James Khangenbam is an independent documentary filmmaker and a journalist based in Imphal.
