As such we uphold the directives of the Supreme Court of India at which the bench of Chief Justice DY Chandrachud and Justice PS Naramsimha ruled, “We don’t want the proceedings and this court to be used as a platform for escalation of violence and other problems in the state. We cannot take law and order and security apparatus into our hands.
It is for the Union of India and Manipur”; during a hearing of a case filed in connection with the present turmoil in Manipur by a Kuki Organisation called Manipur Tribal Forum, Delhi against our leader Pramot Singh by misquoting one of his statements in a TV Channel.”
Through the statement, they want to appeal to all concerned “not to misinterpret statements for vested propaganda.” The statement also read, “Manipur is charaterised by peaceful co-existence of diverse communities by respecting their identities and without encroaching the space of one another. In that spirit, we are happy and hopeful that an outfit like KSO has started and will continue to regard the laws of the land. We hope other Kuki outfits will also follow their example and will help in maintaining order in the state.”
