Imphal : The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS)  in  their Akhil Bharatiya Prant Pracharak Baithak (meeting) held at Ooty, in Tamil Nadu condemned the ongoing violence in the state of Manipur. The 3-day-long annual meeting held during 13-15 July 2023 expressed serious concern over the ongoing violence in Manipur.

During the meeting, serious concerns were expressed about the current situation in Manipur. The organisation informed that efforts were being made by the RSS Swayamsevaks to create an environment of peace, mutual trust, and provide necessary assistance to the affected families in Manipur.

It is learnt that in meeting they also discussed the expansion of relief efforts for the affected people by the RSS volunteers.

While urging all sections of society to contribute in fostering mutual harmony and establishing peace, a call was made to both the Central and State governments to take every possible action for permanent peace and rehabilitation.
It may be recalled that, this is the second time within a month that the organisation has expressed concern over the violence in the state.

In a statement issued in 18 June 2023, Sarkaryavah (General Secretary) of RSS, Dattatreya Hosabale had urged, “RSS stands with the displaced persons and other victims of the Manipur crisis. RSS is of the considered opinion that there is no place for violence and hatred in a democratic setup, and also believes that the solution of any problem is possible only through mutual dialogue and expression of brotherhood in a peaceful atmosphere.”

In this meeting, Sarsanghachalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat, Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale, Prant pracharaks, other officials and participants from like-minded organizations.
