Imphal : The viral video of 4^th May 2023 purportedly in which two women have been paraded naked by an unruly mob has been doing round now in our State. where women are regarded as symbols of sanctity and revered with the highest honour, stated Meitei Leepun in a press statement condemning the incident.

The Meitei Leepun strongly condemns the incident in its strongest terms and is profoundly ashamed to claim ourselves the proud sons of brave Eemas who had fought the mighty Britisher for our land today. It is against the present mass struggle and causes to safeguard the integrity of Manipur.

However, the incident has lowered our heads with shame in front of the world, it echoed.
