Imphal : Public of Kamjong district, especially women folk and students, have protested condemning the inhumane and sexual violence committed against two women in the ongoing conflict in Manipur by staging a rally on Friday. Participated by around 1000 women, the rally started from Peace Ground, Kamjong HQ reached up to 8 Assam Rifles Gate, and ended where it started. The rally was spearheaded by organizations such as Kamjong Shinaolong and Chassad Women Wing.

Many who participated in the rally shouted slogans and hold placards reading ‘Respect Women, Protect Children’, ‘Respect Women, Respect Humanity’, ‘End Violence, Respect Women’, and ‘Justice for Women Now!’ ‘Punish Criminals, Save Women’, ‘Peace and Harmony Now, ‘Women and Children Deserve Respect’, ‘Zero Tolerance For Violence’, ‘Demand Justice, End Violence’, ‘Empower Women, Stop Crime Against Women’ ‘Respect Women for a Strong Nation’, ‘Women’s Safety, Our Priority’, ‘Our Women, Our Pride’, ‘Respect Our Mothers, Sisters, Daughters’, etc among many others.
