The planned national highway 627 will join Nagaon district, West Karbi Anglong district, Dima Hasao district and Meghalaya
Diphu : Chief Executive Member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council Tuliram Ronghang has said that a delegation of public leaders of Karbi Anglong led by Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma recently met the Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari and discussed about the planned NH627 at his office.
“While expressed our appreciation for the massive road connectivity works done across the country and North East India counting in Karbi Anglong i.e. the road from Parokhowa, Bakulia through Manja up to Assam Nagaland border. I submitted a Memorandum to accelerate the planned road from Nellie Amsoi Gate connecting Rajagaon, Doyangmukh, Umrangso, Khobak mingling with national highway 27 near Sariahajan.
We have been told that the notice inviting tender be published within three months. The planned national highway 627 will join Nagaon district, West Karbi Anglong district, Dima Hasao district and Meghalaya”. Ronghang said this while speaking at the foundation day of Karbi Students Day on July 21at Diphu.
The delegation comprised of Chief Executive Member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council Tuliram Ronghang, Member of Lok Sabha Horen Sing Bey, MLA Rupsing Teron, Bidya Sing Engleng, Darsing Ronghang, Executive Member of the council Lunsing Teron, Dominic Uphing Maslai, Councilor Dr. Mongve Rongpi and PWD Board Chairman Longsing Tokbi.
