Diphu :  After the arrest of two members of a self-styled ultra group Karbi Anglong police have come to know about the existence of the radical assemblage yesterday. ‘Karbi Peoples Front for Karbi Longri’ members of the newly formed combative group allegedly indulged in extortion from individuals and establishments.

Based on specific information, forces of Manja Police station arrested two members of the organization from an undisclosed place yesterday evening, around seventeen kilometers from Diphu. However Manja police have held that they were caught during routine checking.

Police have identified the two accused members of ‘Karbi Peoples Front for Karbi Longri’ as Sanjay Inghi resident of Jirikinding locality of West Karbi Anglong district and Rajesh Phangcho. Police have recovered a few demand notes from them. Till filing of this report police are interrogating both the persons.
