Diphu :  In a tragic occurrence in Khatkhati locality of Bokajan subdivision, two college students drowned Dhansiri River yesterday. A group of six youths arrived in Khatkhati from nearby Balijan close to Janak Pukhuri area; they took a dip in the Dhansiri River.

While they were swimming in the swelled up Dhansiri, Sumit and Abranil both friends were pulled down by the whirlpool or vortex of the under current. Sumit Kuri was twenty two years old while Abranil Basak was just nineteen years. The local people and police later recovered the bodies; however doctors of Dimapur, Nagaland declared them dead.
