Ronghang launches Samagra Siksha K A

A total of 12 schemes have been initiated at an estimated cost of Rs 52.6670 crore

Diphu :  Chief Executive Member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, Tuliram Ronghang, laid the foundation stones for building infrastructure under the Samagra Siksha, Karbi Anglong, scheme; covering West Karbi Anglong district as well at Jor Tokbi village located in Khatkhati of Bokajan subdivision on Saturday.

A total of 12 schemes have been initiated at an estimated cost of Rs 52.6670 crore. The schemes include construction of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Avasiya Vidyalaya at Jor Tokbi village, Khatkhati, Bokajan and at Rongmongve with an official cost of Rs 6.88 crore for each school; construction of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya at Chinthong, Rongkhang, Nilip and Rongmongve with an approved cost of Rs 6.42 crore for each school; up gradation of Lalung Umswai (Provincialised) from ME to high school.

The scheme also includes up gradation of Maizia Hadi ME School, Daldali ME school and Dokhora English ME school at a cost of Rs1.52 crore. For up-gradation of high school to secondary school of Rajapathare high school and Chokihola high school Rs 3.54 crore has been approved for each school.

While speaking in the event Ronghang informed that a delegation of council recently met up with the Union education minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, and stipulated for sanctioning a complete central university to replace the existing Assam University Diphu Campus.
