Haflong : The Haflong PHE Division organized a street play on importance of Jal Jeevan Mission and Conservation of Water at Haflong on Saturday. Celebrating the 77th Independence Day, the Haflong PHE Division has organized a number of initiatives emphasizing on the importance of Jal Jeevan Mission and Conservation of Water as well.

Students of Lower Haflong High School performed a spectacular street play in front the office of the Deputy Commissioner at Haflong depicting the importance of Jal Jeevan Mission and Conservation of Water.

Pratigya Mohan Bora, Assistant Executive Engineer, Haflong PHE talking to the correspondent explained the  aims and objective  and the target for the completion of this flagship program. He said though the population of the district is not much but it’s geographical locations brought some challenges while implementing the project.

Under the guidance of Chief Minister, Chief Executive Member and Executive Member of Dima Hasao Autonomous council this PM pet flagship project will be completed in stipulated time within 2024.

In his message to the people of Dima Hasao AEE Bora appealed that people should enjoy the fruits of JJM and also to conserve the water. Further he said they would not leave any stone unturned to complete the flagship program with grand success.
