Imphal : National Institute of Advanced Studies (NIAS), IISc Campus, Bengaluru, on Sunday organised a One Day State Level Workshop on “Vocational/skill Policy, Dropout Reduction and Employability among Adolescent Youth: A Study in Manipur” at the Central Hall, Ideal Girls’ College, here in Imphal.
The main objective of the workshop is to consult all stakeholders on the outcome of the above study and drive vocational/skill-school education interface.
The event was graced byTh. Basanta Singh, Minister of Education, Law & Legislative Affairs, Govt. of Manipur. During the event, Principal Investigator, Dr. Jeebanlata Salam, National Institute of Advanced Studies shared the outcome of the research study.
During the workshop, esteemed panellists such as Dr. Dhanabir Laishram, Social Scientist, Amarjit Raj Kumar, Joint Director, Manipur Society for Skill Development, Govt. of Manipur, Niranjan Singh, Director, JCRE Skill Solutions, L. Shamungou Singh, OSD Academics, Govt. Polytechnic Manipur, Takyel, Prof. Chinglen Maisnam, Manipur University and Shaiza Napoleon, Secretary, Equitable Catalyst Society, Kamjong District contributed to the workshop. The workshop was attended by students and parents.
