In a recent programme under Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana, 54 thousand 500 fish fingerlings of different species were released in Feni River in Tripura near Sabroom fairground. 1 lakh 9 thousand rupees have been spent for this.

MLA Mailafru Mog, Chairman of Satchand Panchayat Samiti Anil Chandra Majumdar, Chairperson of Sabroom Nagar Panchayat Rama Podder Dey, Members Kamala Chakma, Bakul Rani Das, Swapan Chandra Bhowmik, Deputy Director of South District Fisheries Office Sukhesh Majumdar and Fisheries Supervisor Ajay Das were present on the occasion.
