Imphal : Karkinos Manipur Cancer Institute and Research Centre in association with the Deputy Commissioner Office, Imphal East organized a One Day Cancer Awareness and Screening Camp at the Deputy Commissioner Office in Imphal East on Monday.

The Program was attended by Khumanthem Diana Devi, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Imphal East; Dr. (Prof) G.S. Moirangthem, Director & CEO, Karkinos Manipur Cancer Institute and Research Centre; along with SDOs, Officers and Staffs of the Deputy Commissioner Office.

The Cancer Early Detection Program included awareness sessions, risk assessment, and screening for 6 major forms of cancer which included – Oral, Breast, Cervical, Lungs, Prostate, and Colorectal. Karkinos Healthcare Manipur also organized a Health Awareness Programme at the Conference Hall of Deputy Commissioner Office to create awareness about the importance of proper diet, hygiene, fitness and healthy lifestyle, to name a few.

A highly experienced Medical Team headed by Dr. Th. James-Consultant, Onco Gynaecologist, along with RMOs, and Nurses was present to conduct the cancer screening program.
