Police discovered the contraband drug, which was packed in 25 soap cases

Imphal : Manipur Police arrested an alleged drug pusher and recovered 309 grams of Brown Sugar during a frisking operation at a place in Manipur’s Senapati district on Thursday. The arrest and seizure have taken place at Upper Kathikho Karong along NH 2 connecting Imphal to Dimapur, Nagaland.

The police said that the apprehended individual has later been identified as Nolu Pfotokho Khrasi, a resident of Makhan Khullen under Mao Police Station in Senapati District.

The arrest was made by a Senapati Police team led by Sub Inspector H. Talu Marcus, who led a police team while conducting frisking and checking operations on passersby at around 5 AM on Thursday. Nolu Pfotokho Khrasi who was traveling from Senapati in a white Maruti Suzuki Alto car was caught red-handed during the inspection of the vehicle.

Police discovered the contraband drug, which was packed in 25 soap cases. Senapati Police Station registered an FIR against the alleged Naga youth under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. He along with the recovered items have been handed over to the Senapati police station for further legal proceedings, the police added.
