Diphu : Authority of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council is all set to instate the prestigious “Karbi Hemtun” ( Karbi House) in the capital city of Meghalaya, Shillong on Wednesday i.e. 13th September.
Along with the “Karbi Hemtun”, foundation stone for a student’s hostel capable of accommodating one hundred students cum commercial complex will be laid by either Chief Minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma or Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma, within the multifaceted compound of the “Karbi Hemtun”.

Urban Minister of Meghalaya Sniawbhalang Dhar, and host of political leaders and public representatives of both Assam and Meghalaya are expected to grace the ceremonial inauguration of the state guest house of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council.
Council authority has already established similar guest houses in Guwahati, Calcutta and New Delhi.
Hundreds of folk artists representing diverse cultures of this autonomous region of Assam have reached Shillong to showcase their ethnic mores in the cultural night which will be hosted by the council authority after the inauguration of the guest house.
