Proscribed KCP bans 14 restaurants for having flesh trade in Manipur

Imphal: The outlawed Kangleipak Communist Party (Noyon Group) has shut down 14 restaurants opened at various places on the Imphal Aiport Road with effect on Monday. The armed rebel group of Manipur imposed an indefinite blanket ban on 14 restaurants for having dimly lit cabins, partitioned rooms, and flesh trade.

The armed wing of the KCP, Meeyamgi Fingang Lanmi (MFL) in a statement issued here on Monday also stated that imposition was made for accommodating youths in immoral activities inside the dimly lit cabins and partitioned rooms restaurants. The ban was imposed following popular demand, it alleged.

Among the 14 restaurants, 6 were found having separate secret rooms with beds for committing unwanted activities on payments of money the statement issued by the outfit stated. Meeyamgi Fingang Lanmi (MFL), the armed wing of the KCP  warned the restaurant owners of serious consequences if they failed to close their restaurants.

The outfit states that many innocent girls were falling prey to boys from wealthy families. Besides, these restaurants where immoral activities were committed had become a major factor in the spread of dreaded diseases like HIV/AIDS and other sex-related diseases.

The restaurants are Khuman Cafe, Mesey Cafe, Shekhar Sager Cafe, Nungsi Panthung, KhoirifabaKhuman Cafe, Mukta Cafe, Lilly Cafe, Lovely Cafe, Standard Cafe, Konu Cafe, Leikol Cafe, Western Cafe, Magic Cafe and Ranjita Café located at various locations in Tiddim roads.
