Haflong : Jadikhe Naisho Hosom, All Dimasa Students Union and Dimasa Students Union frontline organisations of Dima Hasao organized Candle lightening program in remembrance of the late Babujit Hapila held near the office of the District Commissioner at Haflong on Tuesday.

A good number of people from every walk of life took part in the candle lightening in remembrance of Late Babujit Hapila @ Ali Dimasa an unarmed cadre of Dimasa National Liberation Army who lost his life in police firing recently at Khasmaipur and prayed for his heavenly abode.

General Secretary DSU Pramith Sengyung, President, ADSU Uttam Langthasa and President, JNH said it was really an unfortunate incident where a cadre of DNLA who are under ceasefire had lost his life at the hand of government force that too at a time when there was an ongoing talk with government after signing MoS with government.

They demanded immediate arrest of the person who was involved in the firing and also proper enquiry and justice for all the victims of the incident.
