Diphu : Convener of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad Karbi Anglong Jirsong Englang has express heartfelt gratitude to the Principal of Diphu Government College Dr. Nirab Kumar Sarma for implementing the Lyngdoh Commission’s recommendations for conducting election of the Diphu Government College Students Union Society.

 In a press release issued yesterday Jirsong Englang has stated that this was the longstanding demand of the students and the college authority have complied their demand wholly. 

He has also mentioned that the college authority will conduct elections as per Lyngdoh Commission’s recommendation from this academic session and the office of the president of the college will be elected by the students.

Jirsong Englang has also expressed his satisfaction over the attendance criterion for the contesting candidate, which has been made mandatory as per the commission’s proposal. 

The contesting candidate will have to score 75% attendance to be eligible for contesting in any post of Diphu Government College Students Union Society.
