PLA/RPF is demanding for restoration of the sovereignty of Manipur that had once enjoyed before merging with the Indian Union in 1949
Imphal : Hoisting the party flag, saluting the flag, and offering tributes to all the martyrs who had laid down their lives in the course of the liberation movement were the highlights of the 45th Raising Day celebrations of the proscribed People’s Liberation Army (PLA), the army wing of the Revolutionary Peoples’ Front (RPF) on Monday celebrated its on Monday.
As per a press statement of the outfit, the Day was celebrated at the PLA Headquarters, Tactical Command, Strategic Command, 252 Mobile Battalion, and other Units, Departments, and Stations by hoisting the party flag and paying tribute to the slain PLA cadres who had sacrificed for the cause of the freedom struggle.
The statement further said that the celebrations were held at various places in Manipur by placing stars and festoons of the party by departments under Divisions 2,4,6,8, and 10 under the Central Bureau along with the masses.
The statement issued by Roben Khuman, Secretary Publicity of the RPF appealed to the people to unite together and work collectively for the betterment of the people and the country.
