In a new rule in Phuket, clicking selfie’s at the MAI KHAO BEACH might cause a death sentence or payment of huge fine. The beach is popular amongst tourists for taking photos with incoming flights to give an illusion that one is touching the aircraft.

Local people fear that shutting down the section of the beach might cause decline in the number of tourist. But aviation departments are firm on the ban.

But under the tough new rules, tourists who try to take a picture on the beach risk being slapped with hefty fines or even a sentence of death.
