Old Sadarghat bridge which was closed due to repair work will be made operational from 7th February as par the notification of executive engineer NH Division.

The notification stated that the movement of all vehicular traffic including the heavy vehicles, 10 ton capacity Barak bridge at Sadarghat, Silchar stands open with immediate effect from 7th February,

However, the notification also states that vehicular movement should be maintained at a speed limit of 20km per hour.
