Reshulo Rengma, a well-known political figure and social worker of Karbi Anglong, belonging to Rengma Naga community died at his residence in Rengma Colony, Diphu, at the age of 102 years yesterday afternoon.
Reshulo Rengma was born on January 15, 1922, led an amazing life. He leaves behind a huge number of relatives and is survived by three daughters.
Late Rengma had an important role in the autonomous state movement, he served as Executive member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council since 1997, during the second tenure of the Autonomous State Demand Committee.
He also served as Deputy Chairman of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council. He withdrew from politics in 2002.
The last rites of Reshulo Rengma will be performed tomorrow at the cemetery of the West Town Baptist Church, Lorulangso, Diphu.
