As Charles Darwin once said “The love for all loving creatures is the most noble attribute of man”

For Lynea Lattanzio of Parlier, California, it is a daily reality. Lattanzio gave up her five-bedroom, 4,300-square-foot home so that her rescued cats could have the room that they needed.

Now, Lynea Lattanzio lives in a trailer on the property of The Cat House on the Kings, the sanctuary that she runs. The Cat House on the Kings is a free-range, no-cage, no-kill cat sanctuary, and is the largest no-kill shelter in Parlier, California, which is about an hour from south of Fresno.

Thanks to Lattanzio’s efforts, cats at The Cat House on the Kings do not have to live with the threat of being euthanised if they do not find a home. All of the cats at the sanctuary are available for adoption. The non-profit sanctuary takes in both feral and abandoned cats, giving them the care and medical attention that they need.

The sanctuary is home to about 700 cats and lots of kittens that live in a cage-free environment.

Lattanzio’s efforts helps in keeping these unwanted cats safe and happy until they find new, permanent homes. Luckily, Lattanzio sanctuary has help and is powered by the work of many volunteers, in addition to seven veterinary technicians and a veterinarian. The cats lives freely, without cages, which helps to prevent boredom and obesity. Lattanzio is never lonely as she has the company of 1,000 cats.

It is possible to adopt a cat. Adopting a cat is highly rewarding, as is supplying foster homes, knowing that a cat have been provided with a second chance at having a loving home. The organisation, has a website, www.cathouseonthekings.com where cat lovers get to learn about the adoption details. However, for Lynea Lattanzio it is where her heart lies.
