Door-to-door ‘absentee voter’ casting for senior citizens, people with disability and employees from critical sectors started at Imphal East today.

The exercise will be taken up for 4 days from 9 AM to 7 PM on 7th, 8th, 10th and 12th of April 2024 in the first round and those who are left out will be completed on 15th April as the second round.

Thirty separate polling teams for absentee voters comprising 2 officials, a videographer, a micro observer and armed security personnel are appointed to pay visits to the addresses of such absentee voters for issue and receipt of Postal ballots.
