Despite high cut-off, Delhi University sees 9,000 enrollments. With more than 9,000 students enrolling in just two days, the Delhi University (DU) has witnessed the rush of admissions.

Though the cut-offs this year were terribly high, the University said to have, more than 9,196 students enrolled for the 62,000 seats available in different DU colleges. Despite announcing the highest cut-off (99 per cent) among all colleges like Hindu College’s, SRCC, B.A. (Hons.) Political Science received 70 enrollments, more than the available seats.

However, this trend has created panic among students who were hoping to get into popular colleges in the second cut-off. Many of them said to have thought that the second cut-off will come down at least by 2 per cent but now they are saying that it might not even open its cut-offs for the general category at all.

For many it is heart breaking. The DU had released the first cut-off list for 63 colleges on Thursday night.
