Chief Executive Member of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council Tuliram Ronghang, bid farewell to the departed soul of the late Lt. Sum Ronghang former Chief Executive Member of the council and Hill Areas Development Minister of Sonowal cabinet yesterday at his native village of Rajapathar, around seventy kilometers from Diphu.

Late Ronghang’s mortal remains were cremated today at the village cremation ground of Sar-et Terang village, Rajapathar, following all traditional rituals in presence of his family members and thousands of admirers.

The Congress flag flies at half-mast in honor of the late leader, who was also the President of the Karbi Anglong District Congress Committee till his last day. Former MP Biren Sing Engti, Tuliram Ronghang, Deputy Chairman of the council Ajit Kumar Dey, and other executive members of the council paid their reverence to the deceased leader.

President-in-charge of Karbi Anglong district Congress Bidyasing Rongpi, uttered deep misery at the ill-timed loss of the public leader. Late Ronghang was an All India Radio artist and was associated with many cultural organizations of the region. Ronghang remained intensely associated with the socio-cultural organization Karbi Jutang Chingthur Asong.
