The first ever Inter School Cricket Tournament (Under – 16 Boys), organised by Kiphire District Cricket Association (KDCA), got underway at Public Ground, Kiphire on 6th May which was graced by EAC Kiphire, Kudazo, as the special guest.
In his speech, Kudazo lauded the Kiphire District Cricket Association for initiating such kind of tournament for the youngsters who are at the prime age to be shaped and moulded in their field of interest. He said that, cricket, being one of the most loved sport around the globe especially in India, it was vital to educate and inspire youngsters to its fabric of experience. He encouraged the participants to give their best not just to win, but also to be disciplined and co-operate to build oneself holistically.
During the inaugural programme, welcome address was delivered by convenor KDCA while short speeches were shared by head GB Kiphire Town. Altogether, eight schools are participating which will conclude on 8th of May.
