Due to the impact of rising mercury, the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council has announced a change in the timings for all schools teaching hours, both government and private, in the Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong districts.

This decision has been taken to ensure the smooth functioning of schools and prioritizing public interest, will take effect from May 25, 2024.The new timing is as follows Lower Primary Schools – 8:00 AM -12:30 PM Middle English School /Upper Primary Schools – 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM and High Schools and Higher Secondary Schools – 8:00 AM – 1:30 PM

The new timings have been officially communicated through Memo No. KAAC/Education/MISC/2022-2023/Part-1/62, dated May 24, 2024, issued by the Secretary, Department of School Education, Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, Diphu.
