In a remarkable display of determination and academic excellence, Binila Khumukcham, a physically challenged student from the Jiribam district, has secured a first division with 66 per cent marks and a letter mark in home science subject in the recent High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination conducted by Board of Secondary Education Manipur.

Binila, a student of Kasturba Girls’ High School in Jiribam, wrote her HSLC exams with her legs secured, showcasing her unwavering commitment to her studies. Coming from a financially unstable family, where her father works as a grocery shopkeeper, Binila’s achievement stands as a testament to her sincerity and dedication towards her academic goals.

Speaking to this correspondent, Binila expressed her desire to continue her education in the field of commerce and her aspiration to set up a successful business in the future. Her remarkable performance in the HSLC exams despite her physical limitations serves as an inspiring example for others facing similar challenges to excel in their studies.

“Binila’s achievement is a shining example of what can be accomplished through hard work, perseverance, and a strong determination to succeed,” said the Headmistress of Kasturba Girls’ High School, Arambam Soroja Singha”.
