18 packets of Yaba tablets, totaling 36,000 pills and weighing around 4002.63 grams
Diphu : In a major operation on Wednesday morning, law enforcement officials intercepted a vehicle at the Kakrajan police checkpoint, resulting in the seizure of a large quantity of illicit drugs.
The operation was conducted approximately around 10.00 am, during a routine checking, authorities discovered 18 packets of Yaba tablets, totaling 36,000 pills and weighing around 4002.63 grams, concealed inside the air filter of a Tata Xenon vehicle.
The vehicle, bearing the registration number MN-06-L-7152, was traveling from Dimapur and was heading towards Golaghat.
During the check up, the hidden contraband was uncovered, leading to instantaneous arrest of the vehicle’s occupant, identified as Md Abdul Latif aged around forty one years of age resident of Manipur.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of Sub Divisional Police Officer of Bokajan and a team from the 20 Bn CRPF led by Ravi Gill ,Assistant Commandment, along with the Officer In charge of Borpathar Police and other staff members.
The prompt and coordinated efforts of these officials were crucial in the successful interception and seizure of the narcotics.
