Imphal : In a significant move, the BJP held an extended executive meeting at its Manipur offic , attended by central leaders. The meeting focused on the ongoing conflict and flood issues plaguing the state. Chief Minister N Biren Singh, addressing the media post-meeting, emphasized that despite recent challenges, the necessity of the meeting prompted its timely organization.

The meeting saw the participation of Union Minister of Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal, MP Sambit Patra, state prabhari Ajit Gopchadee, along with state BJP MLAs and party workers. CM Biren Singh informed that the party resolved to accelerate dialogue between conflicting communities, aiming to prevent recurrence and restore normalcy. Efforts are already underway, with the government actively facilitating these peace talks.

A two-minute silence was observed to honor those who lost their lives in the conflict. Additionally, the welfare of displaced individuals was a key discussion point, leading to the formation of a sub-committee dedicated to regularly interacting with those in relief camps.

Addressing flood-related concerns, the party resolved to undertake necessary repairs of roads and bridges damaged by recent floods. The meeting concluded with expressions of appreciation and joy over Narendra Modi’s third term as Prime Minister.
