Guwahati :  In a sharp critique of the current administration, Congress Member of Parliament Gaurav Gogoi expressed deep dissatisfaction with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s approach to key national issues.

Gogoi accused PM Modi of prioritizing business tycoons like Ambani and Adani over the welfare of the poor and middle class, predicting that inflation and unemployment will persist under the current leadership.

Gogoi lambasted the government’s reliance on what he termed “marketing gimmicks” and “fancy terms,” arguing that these do not translate into tangible measures to combat economic challenges.

He expressed skepticism about the possibility of any substantial actions being taken to address these issues, suggesting that the BJP might have acted differently if someone else were at the helm.

The Congress MP also pointed out specific instances where he believes the government has failed to take appropriate action. Despite the ongoing controversy surrounding the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), the Education Minister remains unchanged.

Similarly, the Finance Minister retains her position amid rising inflation and unemployment. Gogoi also criticized the retention of the Chief Minister and Home Minister despite the unrest in Manipur.

Looking ahead, Gogoi assured that national issues will continue to be a focus for Congress, with Rahul Gandhi poised to raise these matters both within Parliament and in public discourse.
