GUWAHATI : Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi questioned the BJP’s stance on ‘one nation, one election’ by highlighting the inconsistency in their approach. He pointed out that while the BJP campaigns for simultaneous elections across the country, they often conduct elections in multiple phases or at different times for their convenience.

Gaurav Gogoi said, “I just want to ask that those leaders who want one nation, one election in the country, why can’t they hold elections of 4 states together? Gogoi cited examples of separate election timings for Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat and for Haryana and Maharashtra, suggesting a double standard in the BJP’s policy.
