On 31st August, Mizoram & Cachar Frontier, Border Security Force, on the occasion of the superannuation of Akhileshwar Singh, Inspector General, bid a grand farewell to him. The officer was posted to Ftr HQ M&C in the rank of Inspector General on 20 Mar 2023.
Akhileshwar Singh, Inspector General joined Border Security Force as Assistant Commandant in Oct 1987.
During his service career, he commanded the Coys as well as Battalions with utmost dedication and devotion leading the troops from the front as a leader and role model for personnel under his command. He also exhibited a pivotal role in assisting the daily affairs of the Battalions being Staff Officer (Adjutant/QM/Trg Officer/DDO) maintaining high standards of discipline, efficient coordination of operations, planning of leave of the personnel, grievance redressal and motivation of troops, planning of procurement of provision items and keeping the troops in the state of high alertness while deployed on International Border/I S duty. Due to his vast professional competence and continued hard work, he successfully cleared all the requisite conditions and earned regular promotions from time to time.
An Officer of unimpeachable integrity, Akhileshwar Singh is a well-mannered and self-composed Officer who is a perfect soldier both in words and deeds. Professionally, very mature and social, he possesses a high sense of legion and is an excellent regimented Officer. He was awarded PMG in 1994 and PMMS in 2014. Earlier, while posted at Ftr HQ BSF M&C, from 04 Dec 2015 to 31 Mar 2018, he performed the duties of DIG (Operations).
On this momentous occasion, Mizoram and Cachar Frontier, Border Security Force organised a Barakhana with a cultural programme at Frontier HQ Masimpur and all the personnel of under Command Headquarters, Civil representatives, Civil Administration Officials and Civil Dignitaries and Ex-BSF personnel along with their families were invited.
Akhileshwar Singh, IG BSF extended best wishes to all and felicitated ex-BSF personnel and families on this occasion. Prizes were given to all the participants of the cultural programme and mementos were presented to the special invitees and guests.
