The chief minister said this goal was significant in helping Narendra Modi’s achieve India’s target of becoming a $5-trillion economy in the next five years.

LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh government has set the target to become one trillion dollar economy in the coming years so that the state can contribute to fulfilling Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream of expanding the country’s economy to 5 trillion dollars.

According to sources, inaugurating annual workshop of Regional Agriculture Science Centres in Kumarganj Agriculture University at Ayodhya, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the agriculture sector of state can play a major role in achieving the target of one trillion economies.

He said that UP has the potential to feed the entire world. Yogi Adityanath said that last 5 years were very important in the field of agriculture in the country because of the various schemes launched by the central government such as soil health card, Pradhan Mantri Sinchayi Yojna, and Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojna.

He called upon agriculture scientists and people associated with regional agriculture science centres to play an important role in developing the brand of one agricultural product from every district of state.
