Appreciating the gesture of the present Assam Government led by Dr Hmanta Biswa Sarma towards the Dima Hasao in all round development in collaboration with N C Hills Autonomous Council, the conscious citizens of the district still appealed not to consider Dima Hasao district as a place of punishment posting or a dumping ground of corrupt officials anymore.

After the establishment of peace in the district, development has taken a rapid momentum but for few such suspended officials, many sincere and honest officials are being discouraged. An irony of the fact that such officials are holding many DDOs posts depriving the genuine and sincere officers with integrity.

For example, one Veterinary officer, who was charge sheeted by CBI for financial irregularities before reinstatement and posting at Haflong and holding the charge of at least five important posts like 1. Manager govt. pig cum poultry farm, sontilla 2. i/c Addl. Director, A. H & Very Deptt. (Hills), Assam, Haflong 3.i/c A. D. D. O. Creamery Scheme, Umrangso. 4.i/c TMS (Town Milk Supply Scheme) Mahur 5. i/c Principal, Vocational Training Institute, Chotowasling and the DTO, Dima Hasao was also suspended for financial irregularities but was reinstated and posted at Haflong.

Earlier, the people of Dima Hasao had to be blamed by regional media for no reason of them terming the district as the place of huge corruption which was done by not the people of the district but by a few officials from outside the district. And many times it was found that the Dima Hasao was wrongly portraited without any ground knowledge.

But now, the district has seen many development activities in and around the district by the present NCHAC following which the Dispur also is convinced to support them and as a consequence, the 3rd Cabinet meeting of Assam LA is being held at Haflong on January 19^th.  

The conscious citizens of Dima Hasao fervently urged upon the Assam Government led by Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma to consider their fervent appeal so that the people of Dima Hasao could get the taste of actual development all around.
