Exit polls failed, BJP dominated again; Haryana rejected casteism
Like 2019, exit polls failed again in Haryana. In the 2019 Haryana elections, exit polls had predicted that the BJP would get 61 seats, while some exit polls had also predicted 75-80 seats. However, the results were completely different. In the exit polls, Congress was predicted to win by a huge margin in Haryana. However, all these predictions were shattered on Tuesday. BJP emerged as the biggest party in Haryana. On Tuesday, jalebi was sold for 1 hour in the whole of Haryana, and later pagodas were sold the whole day. The shopkeepers had a lot of fun. In Haryana, Congress’ claim of winning 60 out of 90 seats was shattered. In Haryana, BJP has emerged as the largest party with a lead in more than 47 out of 90 seats. However, all the exit poll predictions were shattered after the results of the Assembly Elections 2024 came out on Tuesday. We all saw exit polls, which had predicted a majority for the Congress in Haryana after the voting. Not even one of the eight exit poll predictions has proved true. All the exit polls had predicted the BJP party to get 20 to 30 seats, while the Congress was given an absolute majority. In this year’s Lok Sabha elections, most exit polls predicted a bumper victory for the BJP-led ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA). It was also predicted that the BJP would win more seats than the majority figure on its own, in which the NDA was projected to get 361 to 401 seats. However, the exit poll results proved wrong. NDA got 293 seats, and BJP got 240 seats.
Twenty days ago, I had predicted that the BJP would win more than 47 seats in Haryana, and this is proving to be absolutely true. Because BJP gave its 100% to every section. People got everything they wanted. There were some shortcomings which Saini sahab came and completed. I think if these shortcomings had been completed a little earlier, then the BJP would have come with more seats. Anyway, the opposition is also necessary for democracy so that the eyes of the government remain open; they do not become Dhritarashtra. Congress celebrated a lot for two days; who stopped them? They should have celebrated. But overconfidence is very dangerous, which made Congress arrogant and said two days. How did they know that the BJP would defeat Bismarck? Shah’s move is very calm but like a winner. Kautilya must be thinking after seeing the results of Haryana, “What did I forget to read?” The hype that the exit polls had created has happened completely opposite. This means, why are the media and its agencies not working in the interest of the public, or are they only concerned about their TRP and advertisements? This is a kind of business; they must be getting money for spreading all these rumours. Exit poll people, show the true poll sometime. Congress people were afraid that, like the Lok Sabha exit poll, this too might be a lie, and it was proved to be false. Betting is going on openly; is this law right? If not, then why don’t the agencies take action against them?
In democracy, it is important for both the ruling party and the opposition to remain alive so that everyone can get social justice on social issues. Along with this, there can be an acceleration in the infrastructure development of the region. Politics should be on the dimensions of social change, like jobs, business, rural infrastructure, inflation, and protection of constitutional institutions. Which political party stands up to all these? This is proved by the elections in the womb of the future. Brothers, the people of Haryana have kicked Chaudhary to the ground.. A government of 36 communities will be formed, Haryana has proved that the spirit of Kurukshetra still remains in its soil. A heartfelt salute to those who reject casteism.
