A player is a player and represents the country, so why do slogans of a particular caste dominate?
Japan, the only world champion country competing with all the countries in the Olympics 2024, is a beacon of light for all of us today. A 14-year-old Japanese youth is bringing the gold medal and we, a country of 140 crore population, are applauding in the race to take political credit for a medal.
Every player’s victory is a sacrifice for the country but it is important to know where we stand in the medal list. Where college and school students bring Olympic medals, they are taught how to bring focus, responsibility, and expertise from childhood.
You see this picture of every Olympics to date, what should I say now? In this country, which craves every medal, when our star players want to taste politics after getting everything, then the mind becomes sour.
Look at the condition of the country, they crave medals in the Olympics and if someone wins a medal, they shower money to gain a political advantage but they do not provide any facilities to the players who are practicing.
There is hardly any other country like India. Due to these reasons, successful people of the country are leaving the country today.
In our country, merit comes with birth by being born in a particular caste, even a 9th standard fail can be found in distributing certificates of merit based on caste, but a country with a population of more than 140 crores has been craving for a gold medal in world-class games like Olympics even after the independence of the country in 1947, whereas there is no reservation there to stop the contractors of merit.
O gentlemen, the obsession which you are considering as merit, is a collective defamation of the country and the root of thousands of incompetencies. Searching for greatness in castes is not the identity of the deserving but of the incompetent people.
This disease of becoming a great caste that has infected people is more deadly than leprosy. Leprosy attacks the body, whereas greatness among castes directly attacks the mind.
One does not even realize when a person gets used to hatred when he starts finding pride in being a criminal. A player is a player and represents the country, so why do slogans of a particular caste dominate? This is where we lose.
Don’t know when will we improve? Emma Macken, the only player from Australia, a small country in terms of population, won 4 gold and 3 bronze medals in the Tokyo Olympics 2021.
No one in Australia even came to ask about her, because this achievement does not mean much to the people or the government or the political leaders there. And on the other hand, we 140 crore Indians are going crazy over just one medal.
Our Prime Minister, Chief Minister, and all the petty leaders are making a living. Taking cover behind this medal, the contractors of caste and religion are roaming around fearlessly hissing like poisonous snakes.
It is like this that in this country, the rising sun is saluted. Life goes on here without dignity, pride, and prestige. Even today, Chinese goods are purchased here. No one dares to boycott the film stars who go to Turkey to shoot.
Foreign looters are worshipped here. Living under foreign invaders, we have become accustomed to dying slowly and painfully. That is why we do not know how to raise our voices against the government. We have learned the art of living by considering whatever is happening as God’s will.
Due to the absence of enmity or a killer feeling, we do not know who is a well-wisher and who is a hater. In the name of credibility, we always put caste, class, religion, family, village, state, region, community, business, and personal benefits above the interest of the country.
If players win, they get crores, but those who sacrifice their lives for the protection of the country without caring about their family, get just 1 medal..? I am not comparing medals with money, it is priceless, but who is responsible for the family, children, and parents of those who left their families for the country..?
The truth is that, today everything is done with money. Life cannot be lived with emotions and feelings. It is also true that both, whether players or soldiers are increasing the pride of the country. Then why such injustice with them..? The system needs to think. Let the players remain players. Do not make them heroes of war.
