The moment he tried to get himself out of its shadow, army chose to topple him down through a ‘political way’
Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’s arrest has evoked a sharp response from his followers who are out on the streets displaying their unconditional love and loyalty for their captain. The captain is in a state of trouble. Khan saab’s turmoil is again reminding us of the role of the Pakistan Army.
Till date no civilian leader could complete his tenure of five years in office due to the direct and indirect intervention of the army. The captain was undoubtedly the blue eyed boy for the Army. The moment he tried to get himself out of its shadow, army chose to topple him down through a ‘political way.’
Imran was a legendary cricketer who has given the lone world cup to his country. Unfortunately his political journey has not been smooth so far. Though it is an accepted fact, politics is a very troublesome career option in Pakistan.
Imran promised to make a ‘Naya Pakistan’. Sadly, in his vision mending ties with India didn’t get any priority. He followed Pakistan’s decade old foreign policy and banked heavily on China.
Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) of Pakistan Army is harbouring and promoting terror in India. Imran gave a damn to it. In his first interaction with Imran, the Indian Prime Minister expressed his hope that Indo-Pak ties will get a new life since Imran is not a run of the mill politician—rather a man from the field of sports.
Imran has a huge fan following in India as well. Today, he is in trouble and needs help from his close friends and well wishers. Imran has asserted that a conspiracy is being hatched to kill him.Being our closest neighbour, Delhi too is watching the political developments in Pakistan very closely. How far the trial will be conducted in a free and fair manner is for everybody’s guess.
Hopefully the captain will win this political tourney. Hopefully he will be able to sustain the googly’s and bouncers. Heart says the captain can, but the mind says a tough match waits for the captain.
